  Dabar is a wonderful place for a meal. The food is absolutely delicious, and there is such a variety of dishes that every visit is a new experience. I cannot emphasize enough how tasty their food is. The paneers are all so savoury and wonderful. This place is great for vegetarians (as are most Indian restaurants) and also for big groups.

  What a surprise...in a really good way! I lived in Kingston for 6 years...went here the first week I moved to Kingston...and oh, boy, the food was not good at all. I'm Indian and know what good Indian food is. Never went back to the restaurant for 6 years. Was visiting Kingston with my Indian family and my mom who is very very critical of Indian restaurants. After being disappointed with the other Indian restaurants in Kingston, I finally gave in and ordered from Darbar. WOW...DELICIOUS. I mean easily the best Indian food in the city. If you want watered down Indian food that's like grass with salt go to the other places in Kingston. If you want authentic Indian food (medium spicy) go to Darbar. My mom, and in fact my whole family, absolutely enjoyed the food. My new favorite Indian restaurant in Kingston.

  The waiters and owner never make you feel neglected. They’re there to fulfill your many needs and make appropriate suggestions when required. The owner treats you like a friend, whether you were there last week or three months ago.

  Take-out is also great and doesn't take long at all. I can't think of any way they could improve their service.
