  Wanted to have a nice Sunday brunch whilst we were spending the day in Kingston. From my quick search online, Le Chien Noir seemed to be a promising option. Upon entering the restaurant was surprisingly empty, but that was not necessarily a bad thing. The service was great and our waiter was very helpful. The menu had what I would think is a limited number of options for brunch/breakfast items, particularly if you are looking for sweet dishes. The food was nice, but when you take into consideration the prices they are charging for the dishes, the food nothing extraordinary that would justify such prices.

  Quality of the food is off the charts. It is comparable to some of my favorite french bistros in Quebec City! Love Chien Noir and can't wait until my next visit there!

  Staff is amazing. Nice place to come for a glass of wine or two. Appetizers are tasteful and beautifully put together. I am glad to have Le Chien Noir in Kingston it's my go to for wine, and good conversations with the bar staff.

  We chose Le Chien Noir for our anniversary dinner and the food was okay for the price. We had made a reservation for 8:30 but didn't get seated until close to 9 pm. The servers were all very nice but you could tell they were very busy and that was reflected in the speed of service.
