  My friend and I went on a Wed. He had a hamburger and I had the fish and chips. The hamburger was a sloppy mess with a water logged bun and ingredients that just fell off the burger completely when he picked it up. The fish and chips were no better. The fish was clearly over done. The batter was almost black and tasted so salty you could have used it for a horse's salt lick. The inside was a mushy mess. The guy that was serving us was the only one serving tables, but he was not stressed, just was not helpful at all. He asked us how our meals were and I said not good. He laughed and took my plate.

  Went with a large work party for a holiday lunch. They gave us a 4 item menu for our group. It had 3 meat and 1 vegetarian option which I did not like so prior to going I asked for either a different vegetarian option added or if I could have something off the menu. When I arrived, they had added a 5th item but it was chicken. I asked the server if I could have a look at their menu to order something else because my single option was not something I would eat. The servers acted offended and blamed my groups organiser, and said that they already changed the menu for us so it wasn't their fault. My colleague was upset and asked again for the main menu for me and they refused. They said if they let me order off of it, then everyone would want to.

  *Edit/Response: I think it's unfair to say my criticisms are unfounded. I simply asked if I could have something off the main menu because I didn't like my single option and was refused. I'm not sure if you are mixing it up with another group. I have no idea what your staff were telling you happened, but I was not purposely trying to order an item not on your menu. Your staff at one point asked what I wanted not on the fixed price menu but would not hand me a menu. I had to pick something and hope it was on the menu. The only time I saw a menu was when the server held it at a distance to show me the item I picked wasn't served there. It's not like I was purposely requesting a non-menu item.

  I am sorry you decided to change your name for political correctness. That makes me sad you are joining of erasing our history of becoming the country we are now. Changing it for a select few people, beating plastic buckets and siphoning of our social programs. I visited there a few times when visiting from Vancouver. Not anymore. I will find a more Canadian eatery to spend my money at. Boycott for selling out Canada. Makes me sick

  It's a shame considering I have been there before for their wing special on wed. (after 6PM) and we had a great server where she was super nice and had a great attitude. Won't be going back for a while though as our last experience was disappointing.

  How can you say you know your staff would help me order another option? Or attempted to find a solution. I asked for that ability and they refused. Someone else asked on my behalf and I was refused again. In no uncertain terms.

  Great place. There are some sour recent reviews which I don't understand, the place was so great with a super friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Pretty well decorated but could improve, but the fireplace is a great touch! The food was delicious and service was properly attentive

  Took a family day road trip with my Dad to Kingston and enjoyed a fantastic meal at this establishment. I spent the last bit in the restaurant checking out their reviews here on Google. It mind boggles me how people have the guts to give this place a 1 star rating because of a name change or silly complaints. Tells me these 1 star raters were simply born to complain. Definitely gotta give the professional responsible for replying to the bad reviews a big high five! You guys are doing great. We will be back!!
