  I highly recommend him to any woman struggling with fertility issues, even those who have had many stigmatised struggles in life. I myself am a recovering addict and alcoholic with over 13 years sober, which is why I have waited till 35 years of age to look into bearing children, and am opting to be a single mother by choice. I was able to be extremely honest with him about my past, present and plans for the future, and he never made me feel judged or as if he doubted any of my choices regarding children.

  I am normally quite anxious regarding doctors, hospitals and all things medical, but was able to relax with Dr. Reid due to his professionalism and compassionate bedside manner. Began seeing him regarding fertility. After listening to my detailed concerns in a professional and comforting demeanor, he performed a hysterosalpingogram on me and discovered my tubes were blocked due to hydrosalpinx. He discussed my options, and explained thoroughly the effects this problem would have on my chance of carrying a child to full term. We agreed upon undergoing a bilateral salpingectomy prior to IVF. After explaining the possible side effects of such surgery, I was still onboard so he performed the surgery himself at KGH. I have recovered wonderfully thanks to him explaining proper aftercare also, and recently had my follow up. There have been no complications, and my tubes had been sent for further examination, but came back with the all clear. I have now been referred to the OFC for my IVF. I can only hope they are as compassionate, respectful, and understanding as he has been.

  I was extremely nervous having my tubal reversal and doing it so far from home, but Dr. Reid and his staff were able to review my records and provide a comprehensive pre op experience. My surgery was extremely successful and we went on to have three beautiful children post surgery!
